About Mimu

how i get started

When I was a young girl, I uncovered my passion for cooking. I began with straightforward recipes, preparing meals for my family.

During my visits to the Sunday farmers market, I developed an appreciation for the fragrances of herbs, the various shapes of potatoes and tomatoes, and the vibrant colors and flavors of ingredients used in traditional Peruvian cuisine.

Looking back, I regret not being able to preserve all of my grandma’s recipes. However, in my heart, every time I close my eyes, they linger, much like the essence of every dish I meticulously pour my heart and soul into.

Love is the essence of cooking. Creating a simple dish goes beyond merely following instructions on a recipe.

I cook with passion, following my heart, just as my ancestors did before me. If you’re eager to learn, I am more than willing to share my knowledge.

Cevichelomo saltado, and arroz con pollo are not just names of simple dishes; they embody a rich culinary tradition. Similarly, arroz con lechemazamorra morada, and alfajores transcend mere dessert status. Whether it’s cakes, gingerbread houses, or cookies, everything I make is crafted with love.
